Cottage Playhouse built by local carpenters
The Cottage Playhouse the Centennial Committee is raffling off at
the Centennial Celebration in July of 2010 was built by local
carpenters from Oklee.
Around 300 man hours were donated by the craftsmen. The Cottage
Playhouse was built inside one of the fair buildings and was worked
on one or two nights a week by volunteers Tim Munt, Rene Hofstad,
Clay Haugen, Darrell Tougas, Vincent Dessellier, Mike Dessellier,
John Melby, Leo Olson, and LeRoy Hruby. The outside is finished in a
pine log siding, with two dormer windows. The porch is 3 feet wide
and runs the length of the front. The inside is unfinished pine
siding with a loft and ladder built in below one of the dormer
windows so a child can have an upstairs view. An adult sized door
was built on the side for easy access.
Ticket for this very cute Cottage Playhouse area for sale at local
businesses and many of the committee members also will be selling
tickets.
