Committee's Purpose

Be apart of Oklee’s history!

The Centennial is not too far away now and now is time to send your family histories, memories, photos, etc., for the new book in the making. A deadline of July 1st is the absolute deadline for any and all information going into the book. So if you want to be part of the book, don’t delay! You may ask – what is the History Committee looking for? Answer – this is your book. If you want your family history included – send it. If you want to tell about your memories of growing up in the Oklee area – send it. The History Committee will be using some information from the past books, but don’t want to create the same book with updates.
So how can you get your stories and photos in the book? Send your information by mail to: Oklee Centennial Committee, Attn: History, PO Box 253, Oklee, MN 56742. Remember to enclose a self addressed stamped envelope if you want the item(s) returned. Or email them to Bonny Cote at blcote@gvtel.com. If emailing items, please send stories in Word or txt formats. Photos need to be scanned at 300 dpi and the larger the better. If you have questions, please call Bonny Cote at 218-796-5181 (Oklee Herald office), please leave a message if no one answers.
So remember – Deadline is July 1st!
